VOICE OF VICTORY

by: Jamie Lamson

Soundwaves overlapping. Intricately spinning. Volume accelerating.

His blood has shattered the shackles of silence and oppression that held me captive for far too long.

Because of Christ’s miraculous “yes,” I can fearlessly step into mine.

My voice is no longer muffled. His work on the cross has given me strength and courage to speak the things that align with His identity and mine as well. I have been gifted boldness needed to defend myself, as well as those who have been silenced by control.

“Make way for the One who is coming to restore all things broken, stolen, and suppressed!”

Dear sister, maybe your story is like mine.

Maybe you are a frightened little girl who is too scared to speak up for herself. Maybe you subconsciously believe that you deserve the sharp, painful things that have been declared over you. Maybe the shame is so heavy that you can’t breathe, let alone speak. Maybe you, like me, have been awakened, and there is a beautiful battle cry bubbling up under the surface.

Can I invite you to lean in?

Rest in Christ as He sings His freedom melody over you as His beloved.

Because you are not your past. You are a new creation in Christ. You are a treasured Daughter.

Let His song unleash your victory shout.

Your words matter and your story of freedom brings life.

I am free. You are free. We are free.

“The Spirit of the Lord God is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners.” Isaiah 61:1
